Teaching Procedure:
Motivation
I always start the class with a motivation, such as song, dance, or energizer before preceeding to lesson procedure. I realized thet even though there are language barrier wetween me and the students, they will participate to the class if they enjoyed the first part of the class.
Building rapport
Building rapport with students before starting a class is essential for creating a positive environment, establishing trust, and promoting better classroom management, especially that I am a foriegn teacher so they are not famillar with me. However, the students are trying their best to connect with me even though they are having a hard time because of language barrier.
Lesson Proper
It's time to deliver the main content of the lesson, and students engage in various learning activities. In this part, I ensure that students understand and retain new knowledge and skills, are engaged in the learning experience, receive ongoing assessment, and connect learning activities to broader learning objectives.
Problem-Solving
I experience some problems while teaching like shortage of time, because sometimes the students are not participating to it affects the flow of the lesson. So, I realized that effective problem-solving is key to managing challenges and promoting a positive and productive learning environment in the classroom. By following these steps and using analytical and reflective skills, you can help address the issues that arise in your classroom and promote successful learning outcomes for your students.
Overall, teaching in Vietnam as an exchange student gives me valuable teaching experience and cultural immersion. It may also be a challenging but rewarding experience that can help you grow personally and professionally.
